The micropigmentation is an aesthetic treatment, which aims are correct, modify, beautify and balance of semi-permanent form certain facial features (lips, eyebrows, eyelids…) or body (scalp, nipples…) through the implantation of pigments to dermoepidermal level.
How long is the result maintained?
Depending on the type of skin, technique, localization and pigments, the result can vary between 6 and 18 months. It is advisable at least one review at 12 months, to assess the condition of the micropigmentation and decide when to perform a revision.
Does it have a special treatment?
No, micropigmentation does not require and exhaustive maintenance; nothing that we do not do usually.
- Protect the area from the sun with a total screen.
- Be careful with the laser in the area, especially the upper lip; the colors can be darkened. Let the laser technician so that it covers the area.
- Beware of glycolic acid treatments and similar; Notify the aesthetic specialist to protect the area.
- Revision after 12 months for a good maintenance.
How is it removed?
Your own immune system is responsible for deleting the pigment particles. However, this removal is not uniform either in the localization or in the color.
If you do not want to do the treatment again, the color will be getting lost little by little until it is removed completely.
This can take between 2 and 5 years approximately.
